{\noindent Gentlemen:}

I am writing in regard to the Dreyfus A Bond Plus, Regular ccount number
084 00101340-8, taxpayer identification No, 144-07-2677 held in the
name of Bernice D. Samuel, 501 Portola Road, Portola Valley, Calif. 94025.

My wife Bernice D. Samuel died on May 24, 1982. I now have at hand a
court order from the Superior Court of California, County of San Mateo,
Hall of Justice and Records, Redwood City, Calif. Case Number 73974, dated
August 26, 1982 and signed by V. Gene McDonald, Judge of the Superior
Court, stating that the described property, including the Dreyfus A Bond Plus
account in the name of Bernice D. Samuel ``is community property and
passes to Arthur Samuel, the surviving spouse and no administration
thereof is necessary''.

Will you please, therefore, send me the necessary forms to change this
account to my name. Mrs. Samuel was authorized to sign checks against the
account, although, I believe, she never exercised this privilege. I
would like to have this feature continued in my name.

Pending the receipt of the court order I have been depositing the monthly
dividend checks to our joint checking account with The Bank of America,
which I have continued to maintain for this purpuse, as you can verify by
looking at the returned checks.

\sign {\hfill Sincerely yours,\cr\ssqip\cr
\hfill Arthur L. Samuel}

\fin			 % C'est tout.
